2nd time around

A few weeks ago, Mr. Mateo who I photographed at his 1 year birthday, invited me to his second birthday party. He also invited some llamas and goats and a few friends. Scott joined me and we both had a great time because Mateo's mom is an awesome hostess and an impressive cake maker and party planner. While Mateo rode the horse, he just kept repeating, "horsey, horsey, horsey, horsey" In a wondering voice like he couldn't believe these things were real and that he was on top of one.

  1. Is that duck wearing a helmet?!

Mateo sure has some blue eyes and that light-colored hat just contrasts them even more. You have a knack for being in the right place/right time when it comes to photography, Ri, very well done =)

  2. That duck just has a Mohawk. Mateo is a very pretty kid with very pretty blue eyes even though both his parents have brown eyes. He's a very good little model.

  3. Speaking of cakes and photos, Corey's friends (they're mine too now...I adopted them), are getting married next June, and I am apparently the cake-baker. And I may have mentioned that you are a good photographer, so you may be getting a wedding invitation, although they haven't met you yet. But you will like them. And the cherry mead they are brewing for their wedding toast. Please tell me that you'll help me make the cake--I have no idea how to make one big enough to feed 100 people.

  4. Oh my god, that is the second time tonight I've almost died laughing from a comment by Sarah. First it was, 'we looked at houses on Divenney St. and I thought of you every time. Then we picked another house' and now it's "Please tell me you'll help make the cake - I have no idea how to make one big enough to feed a hundred people".

    It's a good thing, I needed a laugh this week(end) =\

  5. I suppose it's a good thing that I'm funny without intending to be? If you want to bake too, you're welcome to help, Mike.
