Late New Year

From NewYears2009

I know it's February, but I realized that I didn't blog about my New Year's adventures.  I have a distinct memory of doing it but I must have made that up.  My roommate from college Valerie visited us in New York for the New Year.  This happened because we were talking about how she always meant to visit before we left and I told her that she had a month left and she'd best do it.  So she did.  We went to see Fuerza Bruta which was a great show that included all kinds of dance and performance.  There was running on the walls and dancing on this large suspended pool thing above your head.  It was a great experience and we got so into it that we temporarily forgot that getting wet wasn't the best idea in the middle of winter.  We had a nice dinner at the bald man chocolate restaurant which is kind of like a visit to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory including pipes of chocolate running through the space.  I don't particularly love chocolate, but I'm good at eating around it.

  1. Amazing pictures, and hooray for Ri-Cap returning to action! I will definitely be at CMoore's for Jen and Alan's fundraiser and will be dragging as many people as possible with me.

  3. Bald man's chocolate shop? You mean Max Brenner. Andrea has a goal of eating there once a day while we're in NYC. I guess they have very tastey real food too, you should've tried that instead of chocolate... at a chocolate factory.

  4. Yes Max Brenner, and we had dinner there so I can report that the food is good. We also saw someone get engaged.
